Painting Tips on Selecting Colors For Your Home
Tip#1 Take the paint chip home before you buy the paint. What the color looks like in the paint store may look completely different in your home. Place it against the wall that you want to paint. What you thought was a nice off white could actually look pink when you get home.
Tip #2 If you want a room to appear bigger, go with a more neutral cooler tones. Especially in hallways if you would like them to appear bigger. Bright bold colors can be a risk because it may make a room appear smaller and may not appeal to a broad range of buyers.
Tip#3 Sometimes less is more. Go through your home and see how many different colors you have in each room. Some home owners have a different color in every room. To a home buyer this may look overwhelming and they may start thinking of all the painting they have to do if they purchase this house.
